Katy Perry, Taylor Swift Top List Of World’s Highest-Paid Women In Music 2015
Forbes have put out their annual list of highest paid women in music, and very familiar names Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift top the list. The list compiled using data from tours, record sales, and endorsements.
Katy Perry tops the list with a $135 million, and well ahead of Taylor Swift who raked in $80 million in the past year. Beyonce comes 5th on the list with $54 million, and Rihanna rounds up the top 10 with $26 million.
Talking about her success and being an entrepreneur, Pery stold Forbes “I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company, I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”
Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Celine Dion and Carrie Underwood are just outside the top 10, but still earned in double figure millions.
